The WTA Canberra (official: Richard Luton Properties Canberra International ), after the main sponsor as Richard Luton Properties Canberra International called, was a WTA - Tennis tournament Category IV, which in the Australian capital Canberra respectively, in the week before the Australian Open took place.

The women's tournament (singles and doubles) was held on hard courts in the National Sports Club in the Lyneham district. The 2016 singles winner received $ 22,900 in prize money and 95 points for the world rankings .
