Captain Jack is a German Eurodance band and a registered trademark of the Wiesbaden producer Udo Niebergall . The project is particularly successful in Europe (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Scandinavia) and especially in Japan , which is why many songs and CDs were only released there. In total, over seven million records and over 35 million compilations with titles by Captain Jack have been sold worldwide.
history
The original front people were the singer Liza da Costa and the Captain Durban. In December 1995, Durban left the group and was designed by Francisco Gutierrez ( Franky Gee replaced). The two albums The Mission and Operation Dance followed . After that Liza Da Costa started a solo career. She is the front woman of the jazz band Hotel Bossa Nova . Her successor was the Filipino singer Maloy (Maria Lucia Lozanes), who was available for the album The Captain's Revenge . Illi Love then accompanied the project for five years.
By the death of frontman Franky Gee on 22 October 2005 seemed to be a successful continuation unlikely, however, a new appointment in the summer of 2008 band presented: frontman was from then on Bruce Lacy , singer Laura (participant of the fourth season of Germany Idol and the first season of The Voice of Germany ) replaced her predecessors Sunny and Jamie Lee. In 2008 the single Turkish Bazar and the album Captain Jack Is Back were released . The new pieces moved away from the party sound or dance floor beat to black, reggaeton and rap beats. In 2011 the album Back to the Dancefloor was released with DJ remixes of the old singles and new compositions.
