The district Veintisiete de Noviembre ( Veintisiete de Noviembre span. For "November 27") is located in the province of Huaral in Region Lima in Peru . The district was established on January 18, 1957. It has an area of ​​207 km². The 2017 census counted 440 inhabitants. In 1993 the population was 791, in 2007 it was 544. The administrative center is the 2611  m high village of Carac with 331 inhabitants (as of 2017). Carac is about 57 km east-northeast of the provincial capital Huaral .

Geographical location

The district of Veintisiete de Noviembre is located in the Peruvian Western Cordillera in the northeast of the Huaral province. The Río Carac drains the area south to the Río Chancay . This flows in the extreme south along the district boundary to the west.

The district Veintisiete de Noviembre borders in the west on the districts Lampián , Ihuarí and district Leoncio Prado ( province Huaura ), in the north on the district Santa Leonor (also in the province Huaura), in the east on the district Pacaraos and in the south on the district San Miguel de Acos .
