Ceferino Quintana
Ceferino R. Quintana (born August 12, 1894 - March 20, 1977 ) was an American politician . Between 1941 and 1942 he served as lieutenant governor in the state of New Mexico .
Career
Nothing is known about the youth and school education of Ceferino R. Quintana. He served as a privateer in the US Army during the First World War . After the 1940 census , he and his wife Jacoba G. Quintana (1895–1964) had three sons: Pete (* 1925), Manuel (* 1928) and Arthur (* 1934). The family was then living in Las Vegas , San Miguel County . Politically, he belonged to the Democratic Party . In 1940 he took part as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago . He was elected lieutenant governor of New Mexico that same year - a post he held from 1941 to 1942. In 1965 he was sheriff in Las Vegas. He last lived in Pecos , San Miguel County. After his death in 1977, his body was interred in Santa Fe National Cemetery .
