Cheers received mostly positive reviews from critics. The site Metacritic calculated from twelve reviews of English-language media an average of 73%.
Stefan Johannesberg from laut.de rated the album with three out of a possible five points. Obie Trice will "certainly not roll up the rap game like Em or 50 Cent ," but on Cheers he delivers "a few very good approaches and a few very good songs." His "jagged flow of integrity" reminds me of Royce da 5'9 " . The album production is also highlighted positively.
