Christian "Chin" Meyer (born September 27, 1959 in Hamburg ) is a German cabaret artist , columnist , author , actor , musical singer and speaker ("Speaker"). He became known in the figure of the satirical tax investigator "Siegmund von Driver". His topics range from politics and society to " truth " itself, but mainly deal with finance and economics .

Professional background

After graduating from high school, Chin Meyer commuted between Germany and India for many years and worked in various professions, including as a DJ, masseur, butler, naturopath, taxi driver, cook, and as a lively jukebox in the pedestrian zone of London and later throughout Europe (street theater "Human Juke Box ").

He studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute in London and worked during and afterwards as a musical singer (including " Cats "). Chin Meyer has been writing a column for the Berliner Kurier in the Wednesday and Saturday edition since 2003 and was also a columnist for SUPERillu from 2010 to 2011 . In 2011, he landed a YouTube hit that was clicked a million times on the “ Markus Lanz ” talk show , the “Fuselan bonds”.

From 2014 to 2015 he also ran his own YouTube channel "Happy Geld", on which he devoted himself to financial and other life issues.

Private

Meyer grew up as the son of a landscape architect and a foreign language correspondent in Hamburg. His younger brother is the actor Hans-Werner Meyer .

Since 2015, Chin Meyer has been the ambassador of the " German Association of Bechterew's Disease ", which offers support to Bechterew patients.
