Christian Concilio (born September 14, 1965 in Hamburg ) is a German actor and director .

Life

Christian Concilio grew up as the son of an Italian tailor and a German kindergarten teacher in Hamburg-Langenfelde . After his acting training at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich, he began his career at various theaters in Switzerland and Germany. The actor appears regularly in German cinema and television films and also works as a theater director. The movie "Si-o-se Pol - The last days of Parvis Karimpour", in which Concilio plays the leading role Fabrizio Ambrosini, won a. a. the 2014 Grand Prize at the Arizona Film Festival. Concilio is co-founder of the Hamburg theater project “Playstation” (together with David Chotjewitz ) and of the festival “150prozent made in Hamburg”, which he has been running since 2007 with his partner, the cultural scientist Tatjana Dübbel. In 2015 Concilio was the artistic director of a theater project on the subject of child soldiers. Beasts was performed in the Medienbunker Hamburg with the participation of the former child soldier and author Günter Lucks and supported by several foundations and funds.

Concilio has a son and lives in Hamburg.
