Christoph Frick (born July 22, 1960 in Tuttlingen , Germany) is a Swiss theater director .

Life

Christoph Frick stages contemporary and classical theater texts and develops his own plays and projects. 1989–1994 he led the Pix theater group together with Jo Dunkel and Markus Wolff. There he realized his first production now-now-now , with which he became known nationwide and was invited to the theaters of the world , impulse and spielart festivals.

In 1991, together with Jordy Haderek, he founded the group KLARA Theaterproduktionen , which he still leads today and for which he develops and directs his own projects.

His productions and in-house productions have been seen at numerous festivals and theaters, including: Mülheimer Theatertage , Heidelberger Stückemarkt , Theater der Welt , Impulse (theater festival) , Theater Biennale Wiesbaden , Bonn Biennale , International Schiller Days Mannheim, Styrian Autumn Graz, Time Festival Gent, Kaaitheater Brussels , Garaj Istanbul, Festival Ouch we live Bern, Zurich theater spectacle .

Christoph Frick has been directing at city and state theaters since 1999. An important pioneer for him was the artistic director Barbara Mundel . In the following years he worked at various German-speaking state theaters, including the Hanover Theater, the Schauspielhaus Cologne , the Staatsschauspiel Dresden , the Schauspielhaus Bochum , the Münchner Kammerspiele , the Theater Freiburg and the Theater am Neumarkt .

From 2006 to 2009 he was in-house director at the Freiburg Theater .
