Claus Reisinger , also: Klaus Reisinger (* March 28, 1950 Saarbrücken ; † March 20, 2017 in Heidelberg ), was a German art historian , specialist author and publisher .

education

Claus Reisinger first studied psychology at the University of Saarbrücken and from 1971 at the University of Heidelberg . There he changed subjects and studied art history .

activities

In 1976, his partner , Ferdinand Werner , got a job at Corpus Vitrearum Medii Aevi in Stuttgart and they both moved there. Here, in 1978, they founded the Wernersche Verlagsgesellschaft , a specialist publisher that publishes non-fiction books , illustrated books and exhibition catalogs on the subjects of architecture , art history and horticulture , as well as specialist journals. The publishing house, and with him Claus Reisinger, moved to Worms in 1982 . In addition to many other publications, he was responsible for the journal Die Gartenkunst .

Claus Reisinger was also active as an author of specialist texts and other works in the fields of art history, music and fiction and as a photographer .
