Clemens Frohmann

Clemens Frohmann (born October 14, 1950 in Berlin- Tempelhof) is a German director and author.

Life and work

Frohmann attended the Uckermark elementary school and the Paul Natorp grammar school in West Berlin. As a schoolboy he made three 16mm films (camera and editing), which were financed by the Franco-German Youth Office and the Berlin State Center for Political Education. After graduating from high school in 1970, he introduced himself to Sender Freie Berlin. After a one-month internship, he became a freelancer at the SFB.

First he learned the basics of production organization from Regina Ziegler (at that time still an SFB employee) and worked as a unit manager, then switched to assistant director (with Hans Drechsel and Michael Günther ) and began directing live talk shows, which at that time were still Studio talks were called.

In 1981 he was the first director (and script) for a SFB series for the third program, which was followed by many other series and television films by the end of the 80s. 

1988 the first film dubbing (dialog book and direction), to date more than 200 films and series have come together.

Frohmann is a member of Synchronverband eV - Die Gilde .

Work as a pilot

In 1991 he fulfilled a childhood dream and began training as a professional pilot on the side. He then worked for 15 years in the summer season at SYLT AIR as a pilot and flight instructor.

Frohmann is a member of AOPA-Germany, Association of General Aviation eV
