The Communauté d'agglomération communauté d'agglomération Privas Center Ardèche (before 2017) is a former French community association with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the Ardèche department . The associated area was in the middle of the department and included its capital ( prefecture ) Privas , which was also the administrative seat of the Communauté d'agglomération. The community association consisted of 35 communities on an area of ​​479.6 km ² .

tasks

The prescribed tasks included the development and promotion of economic activities and tourism as well as spatial planning on the basis of a Schéma de Cohérence Territoriale . The municipal association determined the housing policy. In environmental matters, he operated the sewage disposal, garbage collection and disposal and was responsible for other environmental issues such as air pollution control. He also ran the road maintenance department and parts of the school bus and local public transport. In addition, the association built and maintained cultural and sports facilities and sponsored events in these areas.

Historical development

The Communauté d'agglomération Privas Center Ardèche was created on January 1, 2014 from the merger of two Communauté de communes and other municipalities, whose associations had been dissolved for this purpose. These goods:

• the Communautés de communes de Privas Rhône Vallées ,
• the Communautés de communes d'Eyrieux aux Serres ,
• nine individual parishes from the three Communautés de communes de la Roche de Gourdon , the Confluences Drôme Ardèche and the Châtaigniers .

With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged with the Communauté de communes du Pays de Vernoux and thus formed a successor organization with the identical name Communauté d'agglomération Privas Center Ardèche . Despite having the same name, it was a new company with a different legal personality.
