Veyras ( Occitan : Veiras ) is a French municipality with 1527 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ardèche in the Region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Privas and the Canton Privas . The inhabitants are called Veyrassois (es) .

geography

Veyras is about twelve kilometers northeast of Aubenas . Veyras is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Creysseilles in the north and north-west, Pranles in the north, Lyas in the north-east, Privas in the east, Saint-Priest in the south and west and Pourchères in the west and north-west.
