Rochessauve ( Occitan : Ròchasauva ) is a French municipality with 450 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the department of Ardèche in the Region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Privas and the Canton Privas (until 2015: Canton Chomérac ). The inhabitants are called Rochessauvains .

geography

Rochessauve is located about 17 kilometers east-northeast of Aubenas am Payre . Rochessauve is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Alissas in the north, Chomérac in the east and northeast, Saint-Bauzile in the east, Saint-Pierre-la-Roche in the south, Berzème in the southwest and Freyssenet in the west.
