Saint-Bauzile belongs to the Arrondissement Privas and the canton of Le Pouzin (until 2015 Chomérac ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Bauzilois (es) .

Saint-Bauzile is located about 32 kilometers south-southwest of Valence . Saint-Bauzile is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chomérac in the north, Saint-Lager-Bressac in the east and northeast, Saint-Vincent-de-Barrès in the east and southeast, Saint-Martin-sur-Lavezon in the south, Saint-Pierre-la- Roche in the southwest and Rochessauve in the west.
