Chomérac ( Occitan : Chaumeirac ) is a French municipality with 3,030 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ardèche in the Region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Privas and the Canton Privas (until 2015: Canton Chomérac ). The inhabitants are called Choméracois (es) .

Chomérac is located on the Payre River . Chomérac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Flaviac in the north, Saint-Julien-en-Saint-Alban in the northeast, Saint-Symphorien-sous-Chomérac in the east, Saint-Lager-Bressac in the southeast, Saint-Bauzile in the south, Rochessauve in the southwest, Alissas in the west and Coux in the northwest.
