Location of the association of municipalities in the Normandy region

The Communauté de communes Val ès Dunes is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . It was founded on July 28, 2016 and comprises 18 parishes. The administrative center is in Argences .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations

• Communauté de communes du Val ès Dunes and
• Communauté de communes Entre Bois et Marais .

Despite the similarity of the name to one of the predecessor organizations, it is a new establishment with a different legal personality.

At the same time, some communities joined together to form the Communes nouvelles Moult-Chicheboville and Valambray . In addition, the municipality of Condé-sur-Ifs , which had previously belonged to the Communauté de communes de la Vallée d'Auge , joined the local association.
