Constantin Teaşcă (born September 25, 1922 in Giurgiu ; † July 30, 1996 ) was a Romanian football coach . He was the Romanian national coach in 1962 and 1967 .

Career

Teaşcă was the head coach of Dinamo Bacau in Divizia A in the summer of 1958 . He finished the 1958/59 season on a place in the front midfield before he had to leave in late 1959. After two games on the bench in Dinamo Bucharest in early 1962, he was the Romanian national coach for three games in the autumn of 1962. He made his debut on September 30, 1962 in a friendly against Morocco , which his team won 4-0. After a 2: 3 defeat against the GDR two weeks later, he last looked after the team on November 1, 1962 in the European Championship qualifier against Spain , which Romania lost 6-0. Subsequently, Teaşcă was replaced by his predecessor Gheorghe Popescu .

In the summer of 1963 Teaşcă was the successor to Traian Iordache at CSMS Iaşi . With CSMS he was able to end both the 1963/64 and 1964/65 seasons with staying in class before his engagement in Iași ended. After he had coached the Romanian national team for a game again in 1967, he took over first division club Universitatea Cluj in early 1968 . His team ended the season 1967/68 in a place in midfield. At the end of 1968 he had to vacate his place and in April 1969 he became the head coach of FC Argeş Piteşti . He held this post until March 1970, when he was replaced by Leonte Ianovschi a few days before the end of the season . In the summer of 1970 Teaşcă was the head coach of Fenerbahçe Istanbul . The reigning champions finished the 1970/71 season as runner-up and had to leave.

In early 1974, Teaşcă Gheorghe Constantin replaced as coach of Steaua Bucharest . With Steaua he could not qualify for the European Cup in both the 1973/74 and 1974/75 seasons . He was replaced by Emerich Jenei in the summer of 1975 . In the summer of 1976 he took over FC Universitatea Craiova , where he won his first title with the 1977 cup . From the summer of 1979 to the summer of 1981 Teaşcă looked after FCM Galarei in Divizia A before he had to relegate with his team. He then became coach of Dinamo Bucharest Victoria in Divizia C . In the 1981/82 season he led his team to Divizia B , where he jumped two placements in the top group. In the summer of 1984 he left Dinamo-Victoria again.

After two months on the bank of Bihor Oradea in autumn 1985, he was in charge of FC Universitatea Craiova for the second time in autumn 1986.
