Conträr Musik is a German music label that produces and sells CDs by artists from the fields of cabaret , cabaret , chansons , songwriters , folk and singer-songwriters .
History and special features
The music company Conträr Musik (production and publishing) was founded in 1993 and is in the distribution of Indigo . The first projects included new editions of vinyl long-playing records on CD that were considered out of print, including recordings by Wolfgang Neuss , Hannes Wader , Walter Hedemann and Dieter Süverkrüp . The label later specialized in the publication of previously lost recordings from the archives of the broadcasting corporations. For example, the only recording of the legendary Quartet '67 with Franz Josef Degenhardt , Dieter Süverkrüp, Hanns Dieter Hüsch and Wolfgang Neuss was rediscovered and put on. In addition, productions with young artists such as Christoph Weiherer , LaLeLu and Michael Krebs were published. Well-known songwriters such as Bettina Wegner , Manfred Maurenbrecher , Barbara Thalheim , Hans-Eckardt Wenzel or the Dutch band bots are part of the program today.
