society

As a child, Moți began playing football in his hometown of Reșița. There he received his first professional contract at CSM Reșița . However, he did not stay with CSM for long and soon switched to FC Universitatea Craiova . At first as a supplementary player, he gradually developed into a regular at Craiova. The next move to the Romanian capital club Dinamo Bucharest took place in summer 2005 . Under coach Ioan Andone Moți was able to play in the starting line-up and became the team's top performer. In 2007 he won his first national title and won the championship. In the summer of 2008 he took the plunge abroad and he signed a contract with AC Siena in the Italian Serie A . This change attracted a lot of attention in his home country, as he considered such an action away from Dinamo to be ruled out two days before it was signed. The move to Italy took place on the last day of the summer transfer period. Moți returned to Dinamo in the following winter break. There he won the Romanian Cup in 2012 .

In the summer of 2012 Moți left Bucharest after three and a half years and joined the reigning Bulgarian master Ludogorez Razgrad . With his new club he won the championship in 2013 . This success could be repeated in the following season . By winning the cup final , he and his team won the double .

In the play-offs of the qualifying round of the 2014/15 UEFA Champions League , Moți replaced goalkeeper Wladislaw Stojanow, who was sent off in the 119th minute, in the second leg against Steaua Bucharest, and helped Ludogorez Razgrad to qualify for the first time on penalties with a self-converted penalty and two saved penalties for the UEFA Champions League in club history. There the club failed in the following season at FC Milsami .

National team

In February 2008 Moți made his debut in the jersey of the Romanian national team . In the friendly against Israel he was substituted on in the 90th minute. Although he only played one international match until the summer of 2008, he was nominated by national coach Victor Pițurcă in the Romanians' squad for the European Championships in Austria and Switzerland . In preparation for this event, he played his second international game when he was substituted on at half time in the 4-0 win against Montenegro .

In September 2011 Moți returned after four years in the circle of the national team after Pițurcă had taken over the helm again. In the European Championship qualifier against Belarus he was on the starting line-up on October 7, 2011.
