Taleb Tawatha ( Hebrew טאלב טוואטחה, Arabic طالب طواطحة, DMG Ṭālib Ṭawāṭiḥa ; * June 21, 1992 in Jisr az-Zarqa ) is an Israeli - Sudanese soccer player . The left defender and Israeli international is under contract with Ludogorez Razgrad .
Career
societies
Tawatha moved up to the professional team of Maccabi Haifa for the 2009/10 season . On December 8, 2009 he came in the 0-1 defeat against Girondins Bordeaux for his first and so far only use in the Champions League . In the 2010/11 season Tawatha won the Israeli championship with Haifa , which qualified the team for the Europa League . There he was used in the following season in all six group games, which Haifa finished third in the group . In 2016 he won the Israeli Cup with the club.
For the 2016/17 season Tawatha moved to the German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt . On September 20, 2016, he made his debut in a 2-0 away win against FC Ingolstadt 04 in the Bundesliga. In May 2018, Tawatha won the DFB Cup with Eintracht after beating FC Bayern Munich 3-1 in the final . At the end of August 2019, his contract, which ran until 2020, was terminated by mutual agreement. In mid-September 2019, Tawatha joined the Bulgarian first division club Ludogorez Razgrad .
National team
Tawatha played for various youth national teams of the Israeli Football Association . With the U21 selection , he took part in the U21 European Championship in his own country in June 2013 . There he was used in two games of his team that did not get beyond the group stage. Overall, he was used in the U21 15 times and scored two goals.
On March 26, 2011 Tawatha made his debut in the 2-1 victory in the European Championship qualification against Latvia in the Israeli national team . He scored his first goal on November 15, 2018 in a 7-0 win in the friendly against Guatemala .

Tawatha's father is from Sudan . His mother is an Arab Israeli . Tawatha is a Muslim and has both nationalities.
