Cristian Pavón (born January 21, 1996 in Córdoba , Argentina ) is an Argentine football player who acts as a winger . Originally from CA Talleres from Córdoba , he was signed by Boca Juniors in Buenos Aires in 2014 , where he has played as a loaned player with the LA Galaxy since 2019.

Club career

Club Atlético Talleres (2012-2014)

Pavón joined the CA Talleres youth team in Cordoba in 2004 . In February 2012 he was accepted into the first team for which he made his debut in a second division game in December 2013.

Boca Juniors (2014) on loan to CA Colón and LA Galaxy

In the summer of 2014, the Boca Juniors signed him, but he was almost immediately loaned to the second division CA Colón from Santa Fe . He has a contract with Boca until June 30, 2022.

In 2015 he returned to the Boca Juniors and became a regular player there until 2017. With the club he won the Argentine championships in 2015, 2017 and 2018. In 2015, he also won the Copa Argentina with Boca , where he did not, however, make it into the final. He also moved into the final of the Copa Libertadores 2018 with the club .

On August 8, 2019, he was loaned to the US club LA Galaxy .

National team career

In 2013 and 2016 he played for the U-17 and U-20 national teams. He also took part with the Olympic selection at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . The team was eliminated after the group stage. In 2017 he played his first two games in the senior national team, with which he took part in the 2018 World Cup in Russia , where the team was eliminated in the round of 16 against eventual tournament winners France. He was used in all four Argentina games; he was substituted three times and once.
