Curdin Eichholzer (born July 18, 1980 in Samedan ) is a former Swiss biathlete .
Curdin Eichholzer works as a carpenter and lives in Zernez . He started biathlon in 1996 and was active for Sarsura Zernez . He made his international debut in 1999 and initially ran races in the European Junior Cup , where he achieved multiple podium results. The first international championship was the 1999 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Pokljuka , where Eichholzer was 63rd in the individual and 31st in the sprint. He did not finish the chase. In 2000 he was 18th in the individual, 14th in the sprint, 36th in the pursuit and with Cyrill Gross, Jürg Kunz and Claudio Böckli 17th in the relay race in Hochfilzen .
Since the 2000/01 season started Eichholzer among men, first in the European Cup. The first international championship was the 2001 European Biathlon Championships in Haute-Maurienne , where the Swiss finished 56th in the individual. In 2002 he made his debut in the biathlon world cup . In Antholz she was 78th of an individual. The highlight of the season was the 2002 European Biathlon Championships in Kontiolahti . Eichholzer was 39th in the individual, 34th in the sprint and 30th in the pursuit. In the 2002/03 season he achieved his best result in an individual in a pure World Cup race with a 78th place in Antholz. He also took tenth place in the relay alongside Jean-Marc Chabloz , Roland Zwahlen and Matthias Simmen . The high point of his career was the 2003 biathlon world championships in Khanty-Mansiysk . Eichholzer came 74th in the individual and was 15th in the relay race alongside Chabloz, Zwahlen and Simmen. In 2005 he achieved a seventh place in an individual in Gurnigel . At the national level he won the sprint of second place behind Mario Denoth at the Swiss championships in Lantsch / Lenz in 2006 , and in the mass start race he came third behind Ivan Joller and Andreas Zihlmann .
Eichholzer has been competing in the Engadin Skimarathon every year since 2010 , which is part of the Cross-Country Marathon Cup .
