geography

Dättlikon is the westernmost village in the Winterthur district on the southern slope of the Irchel . Thanks to the mild climate, long hours of sunshine and the quiet location, Dättlikon is an attractive place to live. The municipality also includes the new settlements Böckli, Deller and Blumetshalden an der Töss , which were created after the improvement in the 1970s .

The former through road to Freienstein is closed to car traffic, making the village a popular local recreation area for cyclists and hikers in the Winterthur region. Dättlikon is a popular starting point for climbing the Irchel. By car you can get to the center of Winterthur in 15 minutes via Pfungen or to Zurich Airport in 20 minutes .

The post bus line 529 Pfungen - Dättlikon - Freienstein - Rorbas usually runs every hour . A connection with the S 41 Winterthur - Bülach to the S-Bahn Zurich is guaranteed from the Pfungen train station .

education

Dättlikon has been participating in the basic level test of the Canton of Zurich since the beginning of 2004/2005. In the elementary level, the children of kindergarten and the first grade of primary school are grouped together in one class. This means that the development of the children can be addressed individually. The pupils are usually divided into the elementary level over a period of three years. Depending on the level of maturity, this period can take two to four years. In the primary level, too, classes are taught across all classes. One teacher each teaches 2nd and 3rd grade, as well as 4th – 6th grade. Class. High school students are taught in the neighboring municipality of Pfungen. Since the 2006/2007 school year, a day school has also offered flexible care for children from outside Germany.
