history

Dachtel in Andreas Kieser's forest inventory book , 1681

middle Ages

The oldest form of the name Dahtela comes from the 12th century, appeared in the donation book of the Hirsau Monastery , which was compiled towards the end of the 15th century based on old records. In church terms, Dahtel had the status of a parish in 1275 - this is its first precisely dated mention. In 1379 the Lords of Waldeck appear in a document as local lords in Dachtel, whose heirs sold their rights to Dachtel to the House of Württemberg in 1418.

Württemberg time

From then on, Dachtel belonged to the Württemberg office of Calw. Duke Ulrich von Württemberg implemented the Reformation in his Duchy of Württemberg in 1534 , so that Dachtel has been evangelical since then. The Protestant parish church, built in 1601, was restored after a fire in 1767.

When the new administrative structure was implemented in the Kingdom of Württemberg , which had existed since 1806 , Dachtel continued to be assigned to the Oberamt Calw . The administrative reform during the Nazi era in Württemberg led to membership in the Calw district in 1938 .

Post-war until today

After the Second World War, Dachtel fell into the French occupation zone and thus came to the newly founded state of Württemberg-Hohenzollern in 1947 , which was incorporated into the state of Baden-Württemberg in 1952.

The new development areas "Dachteler Berg" and "Moschenäcker" were built between 1966 and 1976. The new community center Dachtel was added to them in 1982/83.

As part of the community reform, the community of Dachtel was transferred from the district of Calw to the district of Böblingen on September 1, 1971 and incorporated into the community of Aidlingen . Only the village of the same name belonged to the municipality of Dachtel.

Attractions

The Protestant church in Dachtel was mentioned as early as 1275 and in 1599/1601 by Heinrich Schickhardt in the late Gothic style to a choir side tower as a sermon church with a 3/8 choir and the interior monuments of a transverse church (pulpit on the south wall with visible stairs, stalls on the ground floor and later the three-sided gallery aligned with the pulpit) redesigned.

After a fire in 1766, the church council builder Wilhelm Friedrich Goez from Ludwigsburg rebuilt the church on the foundation walls almost true to the original in 1767: altar table and baptismal font in the church axis, pulpit at the previous place, sacristy on the tower ground floor on the south wall and galleries in the west, North and East (in the flat closed choir).

Architect Johannes Wetzel undertook the modernization of the church from 1969 to 1972, with almost the entire interior of the church from 1767 removed and renewed in the style of modernism. Only the 30 Dachtel catechism pictures from around 1787 were restored and placed in the area of the new west gallery. A community hall was set up under this gallery, with a tea kitchen and sanitary facilities in the church cellar.

On the occasion of another interior renovation in 2005, a choir window designed by Sabina Hunger (subject: Resurrection of the dead and eternal life) was installed.

In Dachtel a bakery was built in 1838 , which is probably one of the most beautiful half-timbered bakery in the Württemberg region. Every year on the first weekend in July, the so-called Backhaushocketse takes place, which is known in the Boeblingen district - not least because of the fireworks that take place.
