Damien Le Tallec (born April 19, 1990 in Poissy , Yvelines department ) is a French football player . The center forward is under contract with HSC Montpellier . He is the younger brother of Anthony Le Tallec .

Career

Damien Le Tallec began his football career as a youth at Le Havre AC before moving to Stade Rennes in 2005 . In 2007 he signed his first professional contract there and played in the 2nd team.

For the 2009/10 season he moved to the Bundesliga for Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer , but initially only played in the BVB second team, for which he scored his first competitive goal on September 26 in the away game against the second team of VfB Stuttgart . In the following home game against SV Wehen Wiesbaden , he met again. Le Tallec made his debut in the Bundesliga on match day 9 in the Revierderby against VfL Bochum , when he came on for Nelson Valdez in the 46th minute . On December 2, 2010, he came on in the 3-0 home win over Karpaty Lviv in the UEFA Europa League to his first international appearance when he came on in the 80th minute for Kevin Großkreutz . With the team he became German champion in 2011 . He played a total of eight competitive games for the BVB professionals.

On January 31, 2012, Le Tallec moved back to France and signed a contract with FC Nantes in Ligue 2 until summer 2014. At the end of August 2012 he moved to Ukraine and signed a two-year contract with the first division club and promoted team FC Hoverla-Zakarpattya Uzhhorod . He left the club, which had experienced financial difficulties as a result of the Ukraine crisis , in the summer of 2014 and joined the Russian club Mordowija Saransk . This club was also in financial difficulties, so Le Tallec was sold to FK Roter Stern Belgrade in January 2016 in order to generate transfer proceeds. With a red star, Le Tallec became Serbian champions in 2016 and 2018 .

After 76 league appearances, he left the club in the summer of 2018 and switched to the French Ligue 1 for HSC Montpellier .

National teams

Le Tallec played for the French U-19 national team from 2005 to 2008, scoring six goals in 15 games.
