Dan Lebental

Daniel A. Lebental (born May 23, 1963 ) is an American film editor .

Life

Lebenthal has worked as a film editor since the early 1990s and as such has been involved in more than 30 film and television productions. He worked several times with director Jon Favreau and was responsible for editing several productions from the Marvel Cinematic Universe . For his work on Iron Man , he received the 2008 Satellite Award in the Best Film Editing category. 2016 was nominated for the Saturn Award for the best cut .

As a developer and designer, Lebental developed the TouchEdit app , an editing software.

He is a member of the American Cinema Editors and Motion Picture Academy of Arts . He also taught film editing at the University of South Carolina .
