Daniel Gawlowski (* 1988 in Mikołów , Silesia ) is a German actor .

Life

Daniel Gawlowski, whose great-grandfather was German, was born in Poland, in Mikołów , about ten kilometers southwest of Kattowitz , a medium- sized town with just under 40,000 inhabitants. His parents came to Germany as late repatriates in 1989 when they were in their early twenties , where they settled in Furth im Wald . Daniel Gawlowski grew up there with his younger sister. After secondary school, he attended the technical college in Cham / Upper Palatinate and passed his Abitur at the vocational school (BOS) in Schwandorf .

After graduating from high school, he lived for eight months in a Shaolin monastery in Dengfeng , China , where he studied Shaolin Kung Fu and Asian martial arts. After his return he did his community service at the Junge Landestheater Bayern in Mühldorf am Inn in the field of sound, stage and technology. After half a year he was accepted into the ensemble as an acting eleve and was on stage in several productions, including a. as Rico in Rico, Oskar und die Tieferschatten (2010) and as Kasimir in Kasimir und Karoline (2011).

From autumn 2012 to summer 2016 he studied acting at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich . In 2014 he received a scholarship for talented students from the Bavarian Theater Academy . During his studies he already appeared at the Residenztheater in Munich and at the Münchner Kammerspiele in productions by Dimiter Gotscheff and Jorinde Dröse . At the graduate audition of the fourth year of the Otto Falckenberg School, which was later included in the repertoire of the Münchner Kammerspiele as a re-enactment until April 2016 under the title The Audition under the direction of the Basel director Boris Nikitin , Gawlowski stepped out of singing in an improvisation , Dance and slapstick , rehearsed with the Diseuse Georgette Dee , and also spoke the monologue of the child molester from Franz Xaver Kroetz 'play You have wiggled. Daniel Gawlowski has been a permanent member of the ensemble at Theater Bonn since the 2016/17 season . In the 2016/17 season he played there a. a. Count Paris in Romeo and Juliet (director: Laura Linnenbaum ), Hanno Buddenbrook in a Buddenbrooks stage version (director: Sandra Strunz ) and Lyngstrand in Die Frau vom Meer (director: Martin Nimz ). Gawlowski has already appeared in front of the camera in cinema and TV roles. He was seen in several episodes in the ARD -Telenovela Sturm der Liebe in October 2017; he played Oliver Müller, a former friend of the main character Viktor Saalfeld ( Sebastian Fischer ), who tries to blackmail his buddy with secrets from their shared past.

Gawlowski played his first leading TV role in the ZDF production Team Alpin , which was newly placed in November 2018 and continued in October 2019 with the second season of the station's mountain film series. He embodies, alongside Daniel Fritz and Johanna von Gutzeit , the passionate mountaineer Rupert Dobner, who returns from a trip around the world and opens an alpine school with his older brother and their mutual friend Martina Stadler. In the ZDFneo detective series Dunkelstadt (2020) Gawlowski took on one of the episode roles as a domestic servant and "pool boy" Mike, and lover of the killed heir of a food empire. In the 6th season of the TV series All Friendship - The Young Doctors (2020), Gawlowski took on one of the main episode roles as a sympathetic patient who, together with his partner, is denied access to the primary school mothers' circle .

Gawlowski is privately involved in social and charitable projects. As a volunteer, he distributed food, drinks and clothes to refugees at the central bus station in Munich (ZOB) and brought relief supplies to Serbia via the Balkan route . He lives in Munich and Bonn.
