Daniel Mobaeck (born May 22, 1980 in Linköping ) is a Swedish football player . The defender and midfielder , who is used on the right side, made his debut for the Swedish national team in 2007 .

Career

Career start and breakthrough at Kalmar FF

Mobaeck played in his youth at Edsbruks IF and Mörbylånga GoIF before he went to Kalmar AIK , where he also played in the adult area. In 2000 he moved as an offensive player to Kalmar FF in the Superettan . With the club in 2001 he was promoted to the Allsvenskan , to which he contributed as a regular with seven goals in 29 of the 30 league games. In the first division season he was finally in all 26 games on the field, but despite his seven goals again, he missed relegation with the team.

Even in the second division Mobaeck remained the club as a service provider. At the side of players like Daniel Mendes , who scored 14 goals this season, Lucas Nilsson , Henrik Rydström and Petter Wastå, he helped the club from southeast Sweden return directly to the Swedish elite series with eleven goals this season. In the first division, coach Nanne Bergstrand placed him in 22 games. Slowed down by minor injuries, however, he only managed one goal, but he managed to keep the league with the team. Nevertheless, several foreign clubs in Denmark and the Netherlands reported interest in signing, but he decided to change within the league and went to Games time in 2005 for IF Elfsborg by Boras .

Championship title and national team

At his new employer, Mobaeck wavered between the starting eleven and the bench in the first season, so that he experienced the kick-off on the field in 13 of his 22 league appearances. In the following season he had established himself as a regular - now more defensive than at his first professional station - only an injury forced him to take a break, so that he could only contribute to winning the Lennart Johansson Cup for the Swedish national champions in 17 games .

As a result, national coach Lars Lagerbäck became aware of Mobaeck and nominated him for an American tour of the Swedish national team at the beginning of 2007. On January 14th, he made his debut in the national jersey, his first game ended with a 2-0 defeat against the Venezuelan national team . Overall, he played three games over the course of the year, but could not establish himself in the selection for a long time. But he was still one of the regular players at his club and won the first ever Supercup competition with the team in March of that year with a goal from James Keene with a 1-0 victory over cup winners Helsingborgs IF .

In the 2008 season he was under coach Magnus Haglund in 28 of 30 season games and was one of the guarantees that the club could play for the Swedish championship again because of his four goals this season. Behind his former club Kalmar FF, it was enough for runner-up and qualification for the UEFA Europa League . In August he had a negative impact off the football field when he went out with some teammates after the European Cup qualifier against the Irish representative St Patrick's Athletic and was then stopped by the police with 1.62 per mille blood alcohol. Nevertheless, after the end of the season, KFF reported interest in a return of the defensive player as a replacement for Viktor Elm who had migrated to the Netherlands , Mobaeck declined the offer. In the following seasons he was one of the regulars alongside Ante Covic , James Keene and Mathias Florén , who kept the club established in the top third of the table.

In the 2012 season , Mobaeck was injured for a long time. Under the new coach Jörgen Lennartsson , he therefore only contributed to winning the championship again in twelve games this season. After the end of the season, the club also extended the contract with the player until the end of 2015. After a season that was also overshadowed by injuries, he was again a regular in the 2014 season under coach Klas Ingesson .
