Darmstadt city run
The Darmstadt city run (also Cup da Franco after a pizzeria acting as a sponsor , popularly also pizza run ) is one of the oldest and best- attended city runs in Germany. It has been held in June since 1978 and is organized by the ASC Darmstadt . The organization manager is the former national marathon trainer Wilfried Raatz .
The male running elite currently starts over 7.6 km (seven laps), the female over 5.5 km (five laps). There are also fun runs in the categories of men, women and masters (men over 40 years of age) that go over 5 km (three extended laps), two school runs and a Bambini run.
The route leads through Darmstadt city center, starting on Ludwigsplatz and finishing on Luisenplatz .
