Detlef Grumbach

Detlef Grumbach (* 1955 in Detmold ) is a German journalist , publicist and book author . In addition, Grumbach is one of the publishers of the Männerschwarm Verlag GmbH.

Life

His work focuses on literary criticism , LGBT politics, sexuality , AIDS and everyday reporting. Grumbach has worked for numerous broadcasters ( NDR , DLF , DLR , WDR , SR , RB and HR ), daily newspapers and magazines ( Die Zeit , Die Woche , Freitag , Junge Welt , Deutsches Allgemeine Sonntagsblatt , Süddeutsche Zeitung , Hannoversche Allgemeine , Frankfurter Rundschau , Berliner Zeitung and the taz ).

The spectrum of his work ranges from the distribution of heroin to the severely addicted to the report 100 years Edeka to the private confession of a politician and his political dimensions : I am gay - and that's a good thing! or the report If you don't feel, you come to the home! about home education in West Germany between 1950 and 1970. Grumbach wrote radio features about Martin Dannecker , Lion Feuchtwanger , Christian Dietrich Grabbe , Christian Geissler , Hermann Kesten , Richard Plant , Uwe Timm and Feridun Zaimoglu . Grumbach lives in Hamburg . Since 2014 he has been chairman of the Christian Geissler Society.

Award

In 1999 Detlef Grumbach was awarded the Felix Rexhausen Prize of the BLSJ for special journalistic engagement in reporting on lesbians and gays, for a feature on Deutschlandfunk about gay history: "Citizens against their will - the gay movement between revolt and integration", a portrait of Martin Dannecker, broadcast on June 13, 1998 on Deutschlandfunk. Dannecker was the sociologist and sex researcher who gave Rosa von Praunheim 's first major film success the title. It is not the homosexual that is perverse, but the situation in which he lives .

For his program on the history of Edeka and its proximity to the NSDAP , he was awarded the first Hans Strothoff Journalist Prize in November 2008. The prize for reporting on owner-managed specialist retailers is awarded in three ranks and as a prize for young talent. Detlef Grumbach received the third prize.
