history
The Deutsche Rentenversicherung Oldenburg-Bremen was founded on August 8, 1890 as "Versicherungsanstalt Oldenburg" and renamed in 1939 to "Landesversicherungsanstalt Oldenburg-Bremen" through the assignment of the State of Bremen. As a result of the law on organizational reform in statutory pension insurance, it has had its current name since October 1, 2005.
Range of services
The Deutsche Rentenversicherung Oldenburg-Bremen accompanies the life of the employees from the entry into working life to the retirement age. Their main task is to provide financial security for the insured in the event of reduced earning capacity and in old age. It also takes care of the families of the insured with widow's, widower's and orphan's pensions. A personal pension account is kept for each insured person. In total, Deutsche Rentenversicherung Oldenburg-Bremen looks after more than 800,000 pensioners and insured persons in the former administrative district of Oldenburg , in the district of Wittmund and in the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen . There are six information and advice centers in Oldenburg , Bremen (2 ×), Bremerhaven (together with the Deutsche Rentenversicherung Braunschweig-Hannover ), Vechta and Wilhelmshaven available to the insured and pensioners . Here, customers can get local advice on rehabilitation, old-age provision and pensions. Together with the on-site consultants, applications can be submitted and design options discussed. - the rheumatism clinic Bad Wildungen (specialist clinic for rheumatism, osteoporosis and pain therapy)

The Deutsche Rentenversicherung Oldenburg-Bremen cooperates with the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg in the field of rehabilitation science and supports a young research group.
