Dick Wolf
Richard Anthony "Dick" Wolf (born December 20, 1946 in New York City , New York ) is an American screenwriter and television producer . He is considered one of the most influential producers of American crime series .
Life
Wolf started his career in advertising, then switched to television and eventually became executive producer on Law & Order , one of the most successful crime series in television history. To date, Law & Order is the top Emmy- nominated crime series.
Wolf is the creator and executive producer of the three Law & Order crime series by Wolf Films and NBCUniversal ( Law & Order , Law & Order: Special Victims Unit , Criminal Intent ), and the two short-lived offshoots Law & Order: Trial by Jury and conviction . He is also the producer of NBC 's Crime and Punishment series , which covers real-life cases from the San Diego District Attorney's office .
His company Wolf Films produced among other things the film Twin Towers , a documentary about two brothers, one of which police officers and the other at the fire department operates, and in the attack on September 11, 2001 on New York's World Trade Center killed Life came. Twin Towers was awarded an Oscar in 2003.
Wolf has the title of Consul General of Monaco and participates in the Principality's annual television festival .
