Die Fremde und das Dorf is an Austrian moral drama by Peter Keglevic from 2014, produced by ZDF . The leading roles are played by Manuel Rubey and Henriette Confurius .

action

An Austrian village in Styria (Tragöß) invites traumatized children from Italy to relax after an earthquake. The teacher Rosaria, who lost her relatives and all her belongings in the natural disaster, accompanies the children. There she falls in love with the young farmer Josef, which is why she wants to stay in the sworn little village. But it soon becomes uncomfortable for the young teacher. She is the stranger in the village.

Production notes

The film drama Die Fremde und das Dorf was shot from June 17, 2013 to July 29, 2013 in Styria, Austria. The film premiered on April 16, 2014 on ORF . The first broadcast on German television took place on October 2, 2014 on ZDF.

In 2016 the film was continued with A Secret in the Village - Sister and Brother and in 2017 with battue in the village .

criticism

The TV Spielfilm , which gave the best possible rating (thumbs up), drew the conclusion: "Bad mountain thriller with a good ensemble".

Tilmann P. Gangloff from the Frankfurter Rundschau describes the film as "... a home drama that is well worth seeing".
