Stefan Matousch

Stefan Matousch (* 1948 in Salzburg ; † June 23, 2018 ) was an Austrian actor who worked mainly in Germany and Austria in theaters and founded a theater in Berlin.

Life

Stefan Matousch completed an acting degree at the Salzburg Mozarteum . He then worked at the Ulm City Theaters and at the Theater am Goetheplatz in Bremen . After a year-long trip through the Middle East , he founded the Magical Theater in Berlin , where he could also be seen at the Schiller Theater , the Grips Theater and the stands . Further engagements took him to the Wiesbaden State Theater , the theaters in Bochum and Cologne , the Wuppertaler Bühnen , the National Theater Mannheim , the Theater Basel , the Theater an der Ruhr as well as the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen and the Bad Hersfeld Festival .

Since 1997 he has been a guest at the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna, and since the 1998/99 season he has been a member of the ensemble at the Landestheater Linz .

Matousch died in June 2018 at the age of 70 after a long illness.

Matousch has three children, two of them with the actress and single mother Petra Morzé (* 1964). Son Simon Morzé (* 1996) has been an actor since the age of nine, graduated from high school and was nominated for Romy in 2016 ; and a daughter born in 1997 or 1998 was about to graduate from the “Graphische” in May 2018.
