She has had no contact with her only daughter Luise for 10 years; Contrary to her mother's expectations, she fell in love with a South American and emigrated to Brazil .

After Luise died in a fire, eight-year-old Evita suddenly appears, who is supposed to be Henriette's Brazilian granddaughter and who has no other relatives. At first, Henriette gives Evita the cold shoulder, but soon gets closer to her. Meanwhile, Beate, the scheming wife of her nephew Alfred, informs the youth welfare office about the apparently illegal immigration and even falsifies a DNA test to get rid of Evita, whom she sees as new competition for the inheritance of the company and assets. When Henriette had a heart attack due to the excitement about the threat of Evita being taken into care, lawyer Dr. Richard Burger for another DNA test. A detective in Brazil finds further evidence that Evita is really Henriette's granddaughter. Alfred finally finds out about his wife's machinations and separates. Henriette finds another way to keep the jobs and announces that she will hand over the management of the company to her nephew.

criticism

"A conventional, soulful (television) family film about a woman who is disappointed in life and who discovers new meaning and courage."

“Admittedly, director Sigi Rothemund staged a rather cheesy and predictable story about a woman who discovered her heart. But thanks to good actors - Christiane Hörbiger in particular shows herself from her best side as an entrepreneur with body and soul - the whole thing comes across quite warmly. "
