Peter Raffalt

Peter Raffalt (* 1957 in Villach ) is an Austrian actor , theater director , speaker , author and systemic coach . He is artistic director of the Überlingen Summer Theater and the Summer Festival in Wangen im Allgäu . In 2009 he founded the Junge Burg of the Vienna Burgtheater together with Annette Raffalt and directed it until 2016.

In addition to a large number of television and cinema films, Raffalt has played in renowned theaters in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. His directorial work included a. at the Schauspielhaus Zürich , Schauspielhaus Salzburg , at the Wuppertaler Bühnen and at the Burgtheater Vienna. As an author, he deals with theater texts, children's books and short prose. Peter Raffalt is also a speaker for radio plays, dubbing and advertising.

biography

After his acting training in Stuttgart , engagements in Stuttgart and Trier as well as a lectureship for acting at the drama school followed. In the 2000/01 season Peter Raffalt was engaged as a member of the ensemble at the Schauspielhaus Bochum . At the same time, Raffalt took part in television and cinema films. In the 2005/06 season he then moved to the Schauspielhaus Zürich as an actor, director and lecturer . However, he continued to work in the film and television industry and was employed as a spokesman for the SBS Swiss Library for the Blind, Visually Impaired and Print Disabled in Zurich and as a sports news anchor for Swiss television.

From 2009 to 2016 he and his wife directed the Junge Burg at the Burgtheater Vienna, where he worked as a director as well as at the Schauspielhaus Salzburg and at the Wuppertaler Bühnen . As a film actor he has worked with the directors Lars Becker and Karl Markovics in recent years and has appeared in various crime series and feature films.
