Martin Oberhauser (born November 15, 1970 in Vienna ) is an Austrian singer , actor and cabaret artist .

Life

Martin Oberhauser grew up in Stadlau , on the outskirts of Vienna. After graduating from the Technological Trade Museum in 1991 with a degree in mechanical engineering , he studied journalism and political science at the University of Vienna . As a student, he worked in a wide variety of jobs on the side. So he was u. a. Lifeguards, sawmill fitters, bus drivers, pharmacy test buyers, snow shovels, technical draftsmen or packed canned bread for the armed forces in a bakery.

During this time he noticed his interest in "representing people". He took acting lessons and played his first role alongside Mischa Fernbach and Christoph Fälbl : A corpse (Mödling, director: Erika Mottl ). For the time being, it stayed with this unique excursion into the world of theater. After the divorce of his first marriage, he also dropped out of journalism studies and worked as a technician for the following years. As a “late caller” he then took private acting and singing lessons again from 2001 - u. a. with Adi Straßmayr , Karl Wozek and Erhard Pauer and passed the stage maturity test of the Joint Commission in 2003 .

In 2002 he played his first leading role in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest” at the Theater des Moment (TdA) in Vienna. In the same year he began to deal with improvisational theater on the one hand and to develop his own pieces on the other. He wrote and produced his first cabaret program “Two Souls - One World” together with Eberhard Wagner . Since then he has also been writing songs and lyrics.

In the following years he played in numerous productions of the independent theater scene, as well as u. a. in the Theater in der Josefstadt , Wiener Metropol , Stockerau Festival , Stadttheater Wien , MQ Vienna , stage in the courtyard , Akzent Wien and Stadttheater Berndorf .

Since 2009 he has also increasingly devoted himself to TV and cinema productions. In 2010 he had his first leading role in a series in “ A Couch for Everyone ”, directed by Reinhard Schwabenitzky . Furthermore, he has so far played on television a. a. in “ Quickly determined ”, “ Tatort ”, “ Topless ”, “ The happiness of this earth ”, “Welcome to Vienna”, “The Cardinal”, “ SOKO Danube ” and most recently in Paul Harathers “Schlawiner II”. In the cinema he was u. a. to be seen in “Furcht und Trittern”, “ Early 80s ” and in Karl MarkovicsBreathing ”.

Since 2011 he has been producing and playing the cabaret programs “Sex & Reden”, “Sleepless Nights” and “Jetzt oder nie” (Premiere 2018) together with Nina Blum . In April 2014 he celebrated his first solo cabaret "MY FALL - The world is a cabaret" premiere. In 2012 he was seen on ORF as part of the Hyundai Cabaret Days .

Martin Oberhauser has a son and a daughter.
