action

Tommy loses his job as a make-up artist at Bayerischer Rundfunk after misting an announcer with hairspray and then insulting them. Mike is abandoned by his girlfriend because, on the one hand, he only cares about his music and, on the other hand, due to the fact that the BAföG office does not want to finance his studies beyond the 19th semester, he is financially on dry land. So both need money and quickly decide to become detectives . They quickly have their first job: a rich industrialist suspects his wife of cheating on him. Tommy and Mike are supposed to shadow her and take photos of her cheating. So Mike and Tommy travel to Bad Spänzer , where the lady is staying. However, she turns out to be a loyal wife, so Mike makes advances to her as a disguised Prussian so that he and Tommy can still get the required photos. But even Tommy soon has to slip into a costume: Since he looks deceptively like an Arab sheik, he is hired by the secret service to double the sheik. What Tommy doesn't know: assassins really want to kill the sheikh ...

backgrounds

The film title is an allusion to the distinctive noses of the two main actors. This is the second joint film by Thomas Gottschalk and Mike Krüger after pirate station Powerplay , but the first for which they also wrote the script together. Like its successor, Zwei Nasen tanken Super , it was mainly filmed in Velden am Wörthersee. The opening scene was shot in Munich. Together with the fourth joint film Die Einsteiger , they are also referred to as the super noses films.

The song Alice was interpreted by Inker & Hamilton . The super noses had three million moviegoers.

The director and co-producer Otto Retzer can be seen as an assassin in a cameo role. Thomas Gottschalk's wife Thea embodies a playmate of Prince Faruk (played by Thomas Gottschalk) and is present at the dinner party who dine on the occasion of his visit to the castle. In addition, some actors can be seen in supporting roles who belong to the regular cast of Karl Spiehs' production company Lisa Film , e. B. Erwin Neuwirth or Gudrun Velisek in the role of Heinrich Sasse's lover.

Reviews

“Audience favorites Gottschalk and Krüger also wrote the script for this, their second feature film - unfortunately; because their attempts to surpass the cinema of the early 60s in the nonsense that drove it to the ground at the time succeed. "

- Adolf Heinzlmeier , Berndt Schulz : Lexicon "Films on TV" (extended new edition). Rasch and Röhring, Hamburg 1990, ISBN 3-89136-392-3 , p. 792

"Conventional mix-up comedy, which is mainly entertaining through the two main actors."
