Foreign Policy Instruments Service

The Service for Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI) is a Directorate General of the European Commission . It is headed by High Representative Josep Borell .

The service is responsible for the financial and operational aspects of the foreign policy of the European Union (EU). It supports states in dealing with crises and is responsible for enforcing EU sanctions.
