Directorate-General for Communication

The Directorate-General for Communication (COMM) is a Directorate-General of the European Commission . She is assigned to Commission President Ursula von der Leyen . The head of the general management is Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen .

The Directorate General is responsible for informing the public about EU policies. It also informs the Commission about current developments in the media and public opinion.

Directorates

The Directorate General is based in Brussels and is divided into four directorates:

  • Directorate A: Political Communication and Services
  • Directorate B: Strategy and Corporate Communications
  • Directorate C: Representation and communication in the Member States
  • Directorate D: Resources
