Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development

The Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development (DEVCO) is a Directorate-General of the European Commission . She is assigned to the Commissioner for Development . Stefano Manservisi has been head of the general management since 2016 , his designated successor on October 1, 2019 is Koen Doens .

The Directorate-General emerged on January 1, 2015 from the European Cooperation Office (EuropeAid).

Directorates

The directorate-general is based in Brussels and is divided into eight directorates:

  • Directorate A: International Cooperation and Development Policy
  • Directorate B: People and Peace
  • Directorate C: Planet and Prosperity
  • Directorate D: EU-Africa Relations, East and South Africa
  • Directorate E: West and Central Africa
  • Directorate F: Asia, Central Asia, Middle East / Gulf and Pacific
  • Directorate G: Latin America and the Caribbean
  • Directorate R: Resources
