Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers
The Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers (JUST) is a Directorate-General of the European Commission . She is assigned to EU Commissioner Vera Jourova from the Juncker Commission (2014 to 2019). The acting head is Salla Saastamoinen .
The Directorate-General was established in 2014 as a successor to the Directorate-General for Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship .
Directorates
The general management consists of five directorates, which are subdivided into up to four departments, depending on their size.
The directorates are (May 2019):
- Directorate A: Civil Justice and Commercial Matters
- Directorate B: Criminal Justice
- Directorate C: Fundamental Rights and Rule of Law
- Directorate D: Equality and Citizenship
- Directorate E: Verbracherschtz
