The village of Diepersdorf is part of the community of Leinburg in the district of Nürnberger Land , Middle Franconia .

geography

Diepersdorf is located immediately west of the Moritzberg , approx. 16 kilometers east of Nuremberg .

history

The first documentary mention of the place goes back to the year 1079. Another mention dates from 1360, when the sale of the Reichshofmark Altdorf goods was confirmed. These had been sold by the House of Nassau to the Hohenzollern burgrave Albrecht of Nuremberg, and "Dypersdorf" was also mentioned. In the course of the Landshut War of Succession , Diepersdorf was occupied by troops from the imperial city of Nuremberg in 1504 and, with the conclusion of peace a year later, belonged to the land of this imperial city for almost three centuries. In 1796 the place became Prussian for a decade and became part of the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1806.

After the Second World War, the influx of displaced persons resulted in a considerable increase in population, which contributed to a comprehensive sociological and structural change in the place. While agriculture and handicrafts formed the livelihood of the population almost exclusively before the Second World War, in the post-war period this shifted more and more to industrial branches of business in the surrounding cities. With this structural change, the place developed into a commuter place. Many residents commute to their workplaces in Röthenbach , Altdorf , Lauf and especially to Nuremberg. A small industrial area has formed on the southern edge of the village.

With the community edict (1808) Diepersdorf became a politically independent community, to which the village Scheerau belonged. On May 1, 1978 this was incorporated into Leinburg as part of the Bavarian regional reform .
