The Nonnenberg

The village lies between Gersdorf and Sendelbach at the north-western foot of the Nonnenberg , in the middle of forests and meadows. The place is located about four and a half kilometers northeast of the center of Leinburg and lies at an altitude of 395 m above sea level. NHN .

The name Gersberg is derived from the name Gerung , which was probably the founder of the place. The village was first mentioned in a document in 1072.
