Tomoki, Bokomon, Neemon, Bearmon and Kotemon try to decipher the well-known puzzles around Ornismon. There is another battle between the two parties. Many Digimon are killed. While Kōji and Takuya are always trying to end the fight, Izumi and Junpei learn by chance that D'Arcmon and HippoGryphomon are one and the same Digimon. D'Arcmon / HippoGryphomon reveals himself as Murmuxmon. It turns out that the war between the animal and human digimon was a plot. The Digicodes (D-Codes) of all fallen Digimon are collected in order to revive Ornismon, which was banned from ancient times by AncientGreymon and AncientGarurumon. Murmuxmon and Ornismon begin their campaign of destruction. The chosen try to put an end to the horror. In doing so, Kotemon loses his life. Upon his death, AncientGreymon and AncientGarurumon are awakened. Ultimately, Murmuxmon is defeated and Ornismon is destroyed by the two legendary Urdigimon. Peace returns between the two peoples and Takuya and Co. say goodbye to their new friends and continue their journey through the digital world .
