Digimon Frontier: Kodai Digimon Fukkatsu !! ( Jap. デジモンフロンティア古代デジモン復活!! ) is an anime - film from 2002. It is the seventh of nine films for Digimon - Franchise belong or to the first and only film to the fourth Digimon series Digimon Frontier . The animation studio Toei Animation produced the film.

The chosen ones (Digiritter): Takuya Kanbara, Kōji Minamoto, Izumi Orimoto (Zoe Ayamoto), Tomoki Himi (Tommy Hyomi) Junpei Shibayama (JP) and their companions Bokomon and Neemon travel on a Trailmon through the Digiworld until a degrading island appears and the group separates. While Takuya, Tomoki, Junpei, Bokomon and Neemon encounter human-like Digimon, Kōji and Izumi encounter the animal-like Digimon. Thanks to the help of Kotemon and Bearmon, they are reunited and learn that they are on an island. It turns out there that the human-like Digimon led by D'Arcmon and the animal-like Digimon led by HippoGryphomon have long been waging a bitter war with one another. Bearmon and Kotemon take the children to an old cave where they find ancient wall paintings of a large bird named Ornismon and the legendary Urdigimon AncientGreymon and AncientGarurumon. Tomoki, Bokomon, Neemon, Bearmon and Kotemon try to decipher the well-known puzzles around Ornismon. There is another battle between the two parties. Many Digimon are killed. While Kōji and Takuya are always trying to end the fight, Izumi and Junpei learn by chance that D'Arcmon and HippoGryphomon are one and the same Digimon. D'Arcmon / HippoGryphomon reveals himself as Murmuxmon. It turns out that the war between the animal and human digimon was a plot. The Digicodes (D-Codes) of all fallen Digimon are collected in order to revive Ornismon, which was banned from ancient times by AncientGreymon and AncientGarurumon. Murmuxmon and Ornismon begin their campaign of destruction. The chosen try to put an end to the horror. In doing so, Kotemon loses his life. Upon his death, AncientGreymon and AncientGarurumon are awakened. Ultimately, Murmuxmon is defeated and Ornismon is destroyed by the two legendary Urdigimon. Peace returns between the two peoples and Takuya and Co. say goodbye to their new friends and continue their journey through the digital world .

The US-American synchronization of the film was, as with three other Digimon films Digimon Adventure 02 - Diablomon no Gyakushū , Digimon Tamers - Bōkensha Tachi no Tatakai and Digimon Tamers - Bōsō Digimon Tokkyū , on behalf of the Walt Disney Company by the film production company Studiopolis Inc. created.
