The Dippelsdorfer Teich is one of the Moritzburg ponds in the Moritzburg pond area north of Dresden in Saxony and is named after the village of Dippelsdorf , which belongs to the Moritzburg district of Friedewald . The lake is used for fish farming, nature conservation and local recreation. A 210 m long embankment enables the Lößnitzgrundbahn to cross the lake between Dippelsdorf and Moritzburg. The Friedewald-Dippelsdorf lido and the Bad Sonnenland campsite are located on the lake.
The Lößnitzbach and, through a transition, also the Reichenberger Bach are dammed. The pond was created in the 16th century, probably in 1528.
