The Elbe valley slopes between Rottewitz and Zadel are a nature reserve (NSG) in the district of Meißen in Saxony . The 31.1 hectare area with the NSG no. D 102 is located on the right bank of the Elbe between the district of Zadel in the municipality of Diera-Zehren and Rottewitz , a district of Meißen .

An ordinance issued by the Dresden Regional Council on October 25, 2002 established the area as a nature reserve. The last change was made by an ordinance issued by the Dresden Regional Council on April 13, 2007.

description

The area includes abandoned quarries, wooded steep slopes, orchards and dry grass areas in the outdoor area. The cultivated vineyards are not included in the nature reserve.
