The Pallasca district is located in the Pallasca Province in the Ancash region in western Peru . The district was founded on January 2, 1857. It has an area of 110 km². The 2017 census counted 2517 inhabitants. In 1993 the population was 3018, in 2007 it was 2624. The district administration is located in the 3131 m high village of Pallasca with 1036 inhabitants (as of 2017). Pallasca is located about 16 north-northeast of the provincial capital Cabana .
Geographical location
The Pallasca District is located in the northwest of the Pallasca Province. The Río Tablachaca flows along the northern and northwestern district boundaries to the southwest.
The Pallasca district borders in the southwest with the Bolognesi district , in the northwest with the Santa Cruz de Chuca district ( Santiago de Chuco province ), in the north with the Angasmarca and Mollepata districts (both in the Santiago de Chuco province), and in the east with the district Lacabamba and in the southeast to the districts of Huandoval and Huacaschuque .
