Dita Leyh

Dita Leyh (* 1977 in Stuttgart ) is a German architect and urban planner . She is a partner in the ISA group ISA Internationales Stadtbauatelier and managing director of ISA Stuttgart - Research and Planning.

Life

Dita Leyh studied architecture and urban planning at the University of Stuttgart from 1997 to 2003 . The focus of her studies was on urban planning . As a scientific assistant she worked at the Urban Development Institute of the University of Stuttgart, as well as for the offices of Wulf Architects and Kienle Planungsgesellschaft / Landscape Architects. From 2000 she worked in the urban construction studio in Stuttgart, where in 2007 she became a shareholder of the ISA Group and its managing director in Stuttgart. As such, it has u. a. Won numerous international urban development competitions, especially in China, some of which are under construction. B. Cheng Qiao New Town (Shanghai) and Lijiang.

In addition to her practical work, she has repeatedly participated and co-organized various international planning workshops in China, Japan and Vietnam. So z. B. the concept workshop for the "Expo 2010" in Shanghai and the "Can Gio urban development in the Vietnamese mangrove forests" in Saigon.

Leyh is also active in the field of research. a. worked on the project “Climate Cover for Commercial Areas” funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), which was awarded the Green Good Design Award in 2012. She was also honored with the LEG Young Talent Award for her "Building bridges" project, the Shenzhen Planning Award for exemplary planning in Shenzhen and the Urban Forum Award from Hanyang University in Seoul. In 2012 she was accepted as one of the youngest members of the German Academy for Urban Development and Regional Planning (DASL).

Since 2013 Dita Leyh has been a certified auditor for sustainable urban districts of the German Society for Sustainable Building (DGNB).
