Divnoje ( Russian Дивное , German  Neuendorf, Fischhausen / Samland district ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad . It is located in the Baltiysk district and is the administrative seat of the rural municipality of Selskoje posselenije Divnoje .

Geographical location

Divnoje is located 31 kilometers west of the oblast capital Kaliningrad (Königsberg) and two kilometers north of the former district town Primorsk (Fischhausen) on the regional road 27A-013 (ex A192 ). The nearest train station is Primorsk-Novy on the Kaliningrad-Baltiysk railway line .

history

The until 1946 Neuendorf place indicated was before 1900 a domain in Gutsbezirk Fischhausen (Russian Today: Primorsk), since 1874 within the consular district domain Fischhausen in district Fischhausen and Administrative district Königsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia . On January 31, 1900, the Neuendorf estate was formed into the independent Neuendorf estate . 191 inhabitants lived here in 1910.

But this independence only lasted 28 years: on September 30, 1928, the Neuendorf manor district was incorporated together with the Fischhausen manor district into the municipality of Fischhausen, which in 1939 joined the newly created Samland district .

As a result of the war, Neuendorf came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia in 1945 . In 1947 the place received the Russian name Divnoje and was assigned to the village soviet Logwinski selski Sowet in Primorsk Raion at the same time . In 1950 the place got into the Zwetnowski selski sowet and in 1959 then into the Powarowski selski sowet . Presumably in 1994 Divnoje was assigned to the Baltiysk district and has belonged to the Baltiysk district as the seat of a rural municipality since 2008 .

Before 1945, the population of Neuendorf was almost exclusively of the Protestant denomination. The village belonged to the parish of the parish church in Fischhausen (today Russian: Primorsk) in the parish of Fischhausen and within the church province of East Prussia to the church of the Old Prussian Union . The rural community of Selskoye posselenije Divnoye was established in 2008 in the Baltiysk district . With a total of eight settlements, it covers an area of ​​39.2 km². In 2010 the total number of inhabitants was 889, of which two thirds live in the central town of Divnoe. The inconspicuous Primorskaja (Germauer Mühlenfließ) runs through the municipality in a north-south direction , and after a few kilometers flows into the Primorskaja Buchta (Fischhausener Wiek) in the Frischer Haff .

The Selskoje posselenije Divnoje borders in the west with the southern part of the Amber Coast on the Gdańsk Bay . In the south it meets the municipalities of Baltijskoje gorodskoje posselenije and Primorskoje gorodskoje posselenije , both of which also belong to the Baltiysk district. The regional road 27A-013 (ex A192 ) runs through the municipality in a north-south direction and is an important traffic axis.

The rural community Diwnoje is connected to the Baltijsk – Kaliningrad (Pillau – Königsberg) railway of the former East Prussian Southern Railway via the nearby Primorsk- Nowy station . The Primorsk – Donskoye (–Svetlogorsk) railway runs through the municipality, but is no longer operated regularly. Your Parusnoje (Gaffken) train station in the community was also a stop on the Fischhausen – Marienhof (Russian: Primorsk– Pereslawskoje ) railway line of the Fischhausen district railway , whose tracks have been dismantled.
